Science Olympiad High School Results

Olympiad Explores the World of Science

On Saturday March 6th, the Appoquinimink School District Science Olympiad teams competed in the State Science Olympiad at Delaware State University (DSU). It was an amazing day, with teams from both High Schools posting impressive results and equally important, cheering one another on in the competition!

When the dust settled, Appoquinimink High School placed in four events and brought home 9 medals, while Middletown High brought home 22 medals and one of their teams placed FIFTH overall in competition (a total of 54 public and private school teams were part of the event). Please help us congratulate our competitors and their coaches – below – and watch out for our Middle School teams as they will compete at DSU on March 27.

2010 Jaguars Team Roster:
Each school-based team is allowed to bring 15 students who cross-train for a variety of events in their skill set. Science Olympiad competitions are like academic track meets, consisting of a series of 23 team events in the areas of science, math, technology, and problem solving.
